Lisa Tran

I am a tech and brand strategist who happened to fall in love with the development of consciousness and personal growth. Add in the deep connection I’ve always felt with nature and a passion for creative potential…and here I am, a personal coach and strategist who works alongside people and companies that want to experience more soul, clarity, freedom, and a big dose of exuberance.

 

The Path

Before schooling and business, I was deeply imprinted during my childhood, surviving a war and 8 months of living on a desert island in the deep wild. My life has been a study of contrasts, as I moved on to the urban landscapes of Paris, London, New York, and now beachside in San Diego. I have done research in a MIT genetics lab, prepared auctions for Sotheby’s London and Paris, and helped create packaged snacks and build social networks and digital experiences.

And yet, the great catalyst to my life came when I spent months at the bedside of my oldest sister, who was dying. I came to know unconditional love, and how life is too short to be afraid to live.

I have studied the great wisdom teachings, art, visionaries, and Nature. I believe in the existential quest of tracking truth, love, and meaning in our existence, and in practicing the art and power of engaging in incredible life experiences.

Training

The people I have trained with are Amazing – they are my great mentors and dear friends. I owe the tremendous shifts in my life to their teachings, and I now have a powerful set of tools to share. I am certified as a coach by Dr. Martha Beck, a New York Times bestselling author and master coach, whose work has given countless individuals the freedom to live their right lives. I am also a master trained equus coach — I partner with horses to give people the experience of true power, authentic leadership, and living in a state of flow. I trained and apprenticed with Koelle Simpson, master coach and horse whisperer who worked for years with world-renowned equine trainer Monty Roberts.

 

BUSINESS STRATEGY BACKGROUND

I have 15 years experience in innovation planning and branding, working within Internet startups and consulting for early stage and Fortune 500 companies that include: the New York Stock Exchange, Sotheby’s, Motorola, Pepsico, Hewlett Packard, Johnson & Johnson, Hanes, Omnicom Media Group, Appcelerator, Sanford Burnham Medical Institute, Pathway Genomics, RealAge, Classmates.com, Clean Program, UniversityNow, New Relic. I continue to consult as a strategist and digital storyteller, partnering with my friends at Digital Telepathy as their chief strategist.

I have a bachelors degree from Dartmouth College in Art History and Studio Art, and a masters degree in Design History from Parsons School of Design, the New School. For the past few years, I have had the pleasure to be a session curator and speaker coach for TEDx San Diego.
